Health Issues Beginning in Childhood
It has been revealed that Murat Dalkılıç has long struggled with a congenital condition that causes his nasal bones to grow outward. The difficult health process experienced by the singer dates back to his primary school years.
Flawed Intervention and Consequential Surgeries
As a result of a flawed intervention during the first surgery performed in his childhood to prevent the growth of his nasal bones, all of his cartilage tissue was removed. Having lost cartilage support, collapse occurred in the artist's nose, and numerous corrective operations were performed to reconstruct the structure.
Pieces from His Ear and Rib Were Used
In order to reconstruct his nose, cartilage taken from the artist's ear and rib was used in the operations. However, the depletion of natural cartilage tissue made the process even more difficult.
Meningitis Risk and Difficult Coma Processes
The operations performed back-to-back also seriously affected his health. Facing the risk of infection spreading to his brain and causing meningitis, the singer underwent severe surgeries twice that lasted about 11 hours and remained in a coma for days.
Positive Outcome Achieved with Medical Prosthesis
Following the depletion of natural tissue, a medical prosthesis was placed in his nose as a last resort. The singer stated that for the first time in a long time, he achieved a positive outcome after the 13th operation.
