New Health Center for Women and Children Opened in Soran

Opened in its new location in Soran with the support of the Turkey-based Doctors of the World Association, the health center facilitates access to healthcare for the local population by offering free specialized health services to women and children.
Scope of Services and Departments
The center includes gynecology and pediatric outpatient clinics, a free pharmacy, a laboratory, and an inpatient treatment unit.
Additionally, the facility provides emergency maternity services in line with the urgent needs of the local population.
Reason for Relocation to a New Venue
Dr. Muhammad Al-Salih, Head of the Azaz Health District, stated that the center has been operating since 2018.
It was stated that the facility was moved to its new location to provide a better healthcare environment and quality equipment.
Interinstitutional Supervision and Support
The Aleppo Health Directorate oversees reproductive health, pharmacy services, and all other medical activities at the center.
The Directorate provides the necessary facilitation to ensure the continuity of health services offered to the public.
Number of Beneficiaries and Data
Abdulrahman Al-Hafiz, Director of the Aleppo Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor, reported that the center regularly serves more than 5,000 registered beneficiaries.
Dr. Jihad Al-Weis, the association's Director of Operations in Syria, noted that the center accepts approximately 8,000 patients per month.
Future Projects and Association Activities
The Doctors of the World Association continues its efforts to implement new upcoming projects that will strengthen healthcare services in the region.
Since 2000, the association has been delivering medical aid to those in need in crisis and disaster-affected regions.
