New steps have been taken in the fields of law, residency, and health for the victims affected by the Filo Jet ship disaster, and judicial expenses have been waived.

According to the statement made by the Prime Ministry, new regulations covering the fields of law, residency, and health have been implemented for citizens and survivors affected by the Filo Jet ship disaster that occurred on August 30.

Support and Exemption in Legal Processes

It was reported that comprehensive legal support will be provided to the victims within the framework of cooperation with the Cyprus Turkish Bar Association.

Court fees, stamps, stamp duty, and all other judicial transaction expenses arising from the accident have been completely abolished.

Residency Facilitation for Foreign Nationals

Residency facilitation has been granted to foreign national survivors as well as the relatives of those who lost their lives and missing persons.

Thus, residency obstacles preventing families from closely following the judicial processes have been removed.

Health Services Will Be Provided Free of Charge

Foreign nationals who survived the accident, as well as the relatives of those who lost their lives or are missing, have been included within the scope of support.

The individuals concerned will be able to benefit from public health services completely free of charge until August 30, 2027.
