One Hundred Hearing-Impaired Students Awarded Health Ambassador Certificates in Ankara
As part of the program held at Altındağ Kemal Yurtbilir Primary and Secondary School for the Deaf, children received training in various fields.
Within the framework of the 'Healthy Child, Healthy Future' program carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Education, one hundred hearing-impaired students in Ankara who successfully completed their training received Health Ambassador Certificates at a ceremony.
Protocol and Participants
In accordance with the protocol signed between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of National Education, field implementations were carried out at Altındağ Kemal Yurtbilir Primary and Secondary School for the Deaf.
General Manager of Health Promotion Kenan Volkan Demirel, Deputy General Manager Çağrı Emin Şahin, Provincial Health Director Ali Niyazi Kurtcebe, and Deputy Provincial Director of National Education Turgut Ünal attended the organized program.
Health Stations and Training
At the event, which started with a colorful folk dance performance prepared by the students, nine different health stations were set up inside the school.
At these established stations, students were provided with information on 112 Emergency Health Services, UMKE, family medicine, oral and dental health, and healthy nutrition.
Additionally, comprehensive training was given to the children on physical activity, personal hygiene, protection from contagious diseases, and digital balance.
General Project Data
General Manager of Health Promotion Kenan Volkan Demirel stated that the project, which started about a year and a half ago, has reached nearly 900,000 students in nearly 3,000 schools to date.
Ankara Provincial Health Director Niyazi Kurtcebe reported that a total of 18 schools were reached in the capital and approximately 18,000 students gained the title of health ambassador during this process.
