The meniscus stands out as a structure that plays an important role in the healthy functioning of the knee joint and ensures load distribution in the knee.
Distributing the pressure between the femur and the tibia in a balanced manner, the meniscus acts as a shock absorber that prevents the bones from directly contacting each other.
Preservation of natural tissue and loss situations
Emphasizing that the primary goal in meniscus tears is always to preserve the natural tissue, experts exhibit a meticulous approach in this regard.
However, in some patients, it may be necessary to remove part or all of the meniscus due to multi-fragmented and severely damaged tears.
