Purpose of the Training Course
The Vinh Long Provincial Population Department organized a training course aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of population officers working in local villages and communes in communication, counseling, and pre-marital health checks.
This training course aims to improve the professional skills of commune-level population officials and increase the quality of coordination and the effectiveness of activities in the region.
Participant Profile
The organized training was attended by authorized officers responsible for pre-marital counseling and health checks at health stations in 35 villages and communes in the region.
Topics Covered
Over the course of one day, participants consolidated their knowledge on an overview of pre-marital counseling and health checks.
Additionally, they received updates on the steps for establishing teams at the commune and neighborhood levels, communication skills, and sexually transmitted infections.
Goals and Planning
Through the trainings, it is aimed to maintain the effectiveness of pre-marital counseling and health checks and to exceed the target percentages for the year 2026.
The Provincial Population Department has planned three separate training courses for a total of 124 officers.
Future Training Schedule
Following the course held in the Vinh Long region, according to the schedule, the subsequent trainings will be conducted on September 16 and 17 for officers in the Ben Tre and Tra Vinh regions.
