Preventive healthcare services in 30 districts from İzmir Metropolitan Municipality
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality provided preventive health, education, counseling, and testing services to thousands of citizens across thirty districts in the first eight months of the year.
In the first eight months of 2026, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality reached thousands of citizens across 30 districts of the city through preventive healthcare services, including training sessions, oral and dental health checks, parental guidance, and psychological counseling.
Health Education and Oral Health
More than 13,000 citizens participated in preventive health, active living, oral and dental health, first aid, one health, and mental health training sessions held across 30 districts in the first eight months of the year. Approximately 3,000 people benefited from oral and dental health checks conducted in 21 districts.
Family Guidance with the İzmir95 Project
Efforts supporting the development of parents and children continued under the İzmir95 Project targeting early childhood. A total of 3,245 people benefited from the 0-12 Month Home Visit-Based Parental Guidance service.
İZSEM and Testing Centers Network
The number of İzmir Health and Well-being Centers (İZSEM) increased to five in 2026. The number of Voluntary Counseling and Testing Centers also rose to two, with the second center opening at Çiğli İZSEM in June.
Psychological and Nutritional Counseling
Approximately 2,000 people applied to the Psychological Support Units in the first eight months of the year. Around 2,000 people also benefited from the Nutrition and Diet Counseling Units.
