The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has imposed an administrative fine of 501 million 568 thousand liras on a private healthcare institution in Elazığ that caused environmental pollution by illegally burning pharmaceutical and medical waste.

The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change imposed a total fine of 501 million 568 thousand liras on the private healthcare institution determined to have burned pharmaceutical and medical waste in Elazığ.
Past Penal Actions and Findings
Teams from the Elazığ Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change had fined the institution 47 million 206 thousand 354 TL in May for burning hospital waste in a private property garden.
As a result of the ongoing judicial investigation, it was proven with technical data that the institution continued similar irregularities on various dates throughout 2025.
