Renewed Health Facilities for Furry Friends Put into Service in Karabağlar
Karabağlar Municipality has renovated the Uzundere Animal Shelter, increased its capacity, and converted the Nazım Hikmet Animal Health Center into a Cat Neutering Center.
Karabağlar Municipality has renovated the Uzundere Animal Shelter and opened the Nazım Hikmet Animal Health Center for cat neutering services in order to ensure that stray animals living within the district borders are treated and rehabilitated in more modern conditions.
Shelter Capacity Increased
The outdoor dog cages located in the 12,937-square-meter Uzundere campus were completely renovated, and the total capacity was increased from 75 to 165.
Additionally, a modern Cat Treatment Center with a capacity of 87 inpatient cats was established within the campus.
Comprehensive Health Infrastructure
The renovated campus features a fully equipped operating room, examination rooms, an X-ray unit, and a laboratory.
Thanks to these facilities, health services for sick, injured, and disabled stray animals have been made much more robust.
New Neutering Center
The Nazım Hikmet Animal Health Center was restructured into a Cat Neutering Center through a comprehensive transformation.
Citizens will be able to easily make appointments for this new center via the municipality's website.
Eco-Friendly Energy Investment
58 solar panels were installed on the roof of the facility to meet its sustainable energy needs.
Thanks to this system, approximately 20 percent of the center's annual electricity consumption is expected to be met from renewable energy sources.
