The Ministry of Health has requested the investigation of allegations in the press regarding health reports issued with a very large number of signatures in a very short time at private clinics in certain provinces.
Background of the investigation request
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management of the Ministry of Health contacted the Health Departments in Can Tho and Dong Thap provinces.
The relevant agencies were asked to verify reports regarding the medical examination and report-issuing practices of private clinics in the region.
Allegations of suspicious reports
News reports reflected in the press stated that certificates bearing numerous signatures were issued as a result of short examinations lasting approximately 20 minutes in some private clinics.
It was claimed that multi-signature reports were obtained for a fee in a short time at a clinic in Can Tho, and that similar rapid reports were issued in Dong Thap.
Process and expectations
The Ministry emphasized that if violations and irregularities are detected, necessary actions will be taken within the framework of current laws.
Additionally, it was requested that regional inspections be strengthened and the results of the ongoing investigation be reported before September 18.
