The fourth hearing of the trial involving 41 defendants, including suspended Muhittin Böcek and his son Mustafa Gökhan Böcek who were detained within the scope of the investigation targeting the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, was held.

Fourth Hearing Held

Forty-one defendants, including Muhittin Böcek who was arrested and suspended from office within the scope of the 'bribery' and 'corruption' investigation targeting the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, appeared before the judge. Detained defendants were present in the courtroom at the fourth hearing of the case heard at the Antalya 6th Heavy Penal Court.

Witness Statements Heard

Individuals testifying as witnesses during the hearing made allegations regarding the exchange of gold and the transfer of money. A witness identified as Ahmet P., working as a sales consultant at a jewelry store, claimed that millions of liras allegedly belonging to Gökhan Böcek were sent in exchange for gold exchange transactions.

Defendants' Defenses

Mustafa Gökhan Böcek argued that he has been detained for about 13 months and is in prison solely because he is Muhittin Böcek's son, requesting his release with judicial control measures. Meanwhile, Muhittin Böcek stated that he has been detained for 15 months, denied the accusations, and requested his release on the grounds of health issues.

Continuation of Detention

Following the defenses presented and the witness testimonies, the panel of judges decided to continue the detention of Muhittin Böcek and his son Mustafa Gökhan Böcek, postponing the trial to a later date.
