Sağlık-Sen Opens University Branch in Diyarbakır
Through this newly established branch, the union aims to improve the working conditions of staff employed in university hospitals and to resolve their problems by identifying them directly in the field.
Sağlık-Sen has established a new university branch to defend the rights of healthcare and social service workers employed at universities in Diyarbakır, particularly at Dicle University. Veysel Cangül has assumed the presidency of the branch.
Employees' Rights Will Be Strongly Defended
The Sağlık-Sen Diyarbakır University Branch will convey the demands of healthcare and social service workers employed at universities in the region, primarily Dicle University, to the relevant authorities. The branch will carry out active operations to defend employees' rights more strongly.
Primary goals include listening to the problems faced by employees directly in the field, conveying the identified issues to the relevant institutions, and resolutely following up on the resolution processes.
A New Solution-Oriented Era Begins
Branch President Veysel Cangül stated that their approach to unionism would not be limited to merely voicing demands, but that they would carry out an active struggle alongside the employees. Cangül expressed that they would remain in constant contact with institutions to resolve personal rights and professional issues.
Emphasizing that field work will be prioritized in the new period, Cangül noted that problems will be identified on-site and resolved through collective wisdom, and that the establishment of this branch marks the beginning of a new era of solidarity for university employees.
