Screening Studies Conducted in Kahramanmaraş Within the Scope of Public Health Week

Preventive health services were provided to citizens and basic measurements were taken during events held in Kahramanmaraş on the occasion of Public Health Week.

Within the scope of September 3-9 Public Health Week, preventive health services, informational activities, and screening studies were implemented through the cooperation of Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, and the Provincial Directorate of Health.

Program Realized Through Joint Cooperation

In partnership with Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, and the Provincial Directorate of Health, informational stands were set up in front of KSÜ Faculty of Medicine and health guidance was provided to citizens.

Early Diagnosis and Healthy Living Awareness

Throughout the event, measures that can be taken before diseases develop were conveyed to participants, and the importance of early diagnosis, balanced nutrition, and an active lifestyle was emphasized.

Basic Health Measurements Performed

At the established stands, citizens' height, weight, body mass index, blood sugar, and carbon monoxide measurements were taken, and necessary referrals were shared regarding their risk statuses.

Plaque Support for the Smoking Cessation Process

At the end of the Public Health Week events, plaques were presented to 5 physicians who supported the highest number of citizens in the fight against tobacco, emphasizing the value of counseling activities.

Citizens' Evaluations

Citizens who participated in the health screening expressed their satisfaction with the application and conveyed their thanks for the free health services and conveniences provided.
