Prof. Dr. Ercan Küçükosmanoğlu, Gaziantep Provincial Representative of the General Health-İş Union, stated that the imposition of single-type software called SB-AHBS on family physicians directly endangers the quality of healthcare services.

Emphasizing that family medicine services are not a testing ground where shortcomings are attempted to be resolved during implementation, Küçükosmanoğlu stated that the ministry must abandon its imposition mindset.

Data Transfer and Increased Workload

Stating that the problems encountered in the field are not limited to a software change, the representative voiced that serious disruptions are being experienced in data transfer and the use of SB-AHBS.

It was noted that the lack of technical support and the increased workload negatively affect the delivery of services in family health centers, and that there are serious risks regarding the transfer of past health records.

Financial and Legal Question Marks

The fate of agreements made with other FHIS (AHBS) software companies whose current contracts are ongoing and the status of the upfront fees paid by family physicians remain uncertain.

Clear answers are expected from the ministry regarding who will bear the responsibility and compensation for damages arising from data losses and incomplete transfers that may occur during the transition process.

Rescheduling and Allegations of Pressure

It was stated that the installation and transition processes, which were planned to be completed by August 13, have been rescheduled nationwide due to failure to materialize.

The ministry's announcement that it will not take into account data coming from systems other than SB-AHBS after the specified deadlines was evaluated as an oppressive approach toward healthcare workers.
