Support provided in 1,678 outpatient clinics and 383 centers for those who want to quit smoking
Within the scope of the efforts carried out by the Ministry of Health, face-to-face and remote consultancy services are offered at thousands of points to citizens who want to quit smoking.
The Ministry of Health announced that remote and face-to-face consultancy services are provided in 1,678 outpatient clinics and 383 centers nationwide for citizens who want to quit smoking.
Scope of Outpatient Clinic Services
Consultancy and treatment services are provided in 1,678 smoking cessation outpatient clinics across Turkey. Consultancy services have been provided to 376,158 people in these centers to date.
In these outpatient clinics operating within the body of Healthy Life Centers, the level of addiction is first evaluated and a cessation plan suitable for the individual is prepared.
Free Medication Support
Medications used in smoking cessation treatment can be provided free of charge by the ministry to individuals deemed appropriate through a physician's evaluation.
More than 1.5 million people have been offered free smoking cessation treatment support by the ministry since 2010.
ALO 171 and ALO 191 Lines
The ALO 171 Smoking Cessation Counseling Line provides services every day of the week and at all hours of the day, offering follow-up and motivation support to 628,378 citizens to date.
Individuals whose plans are created are followed up for one year and call-backs are made at least 7 times. In addition, calls were also answered via ALO 191.
Online and Field Studies
In order to facilitate citizens' access to services, online smoking cessation outpatient clinic services are provided in 383 centers across all 81 provinces.
In the field, on-site smoking cessation counseling has been offered in 920 public institutions and training has been provided to public personnel since July 30, 2025.
