Suspects referred to hospital in international forex fraud investigation
Suspects detained in an Istanbul-based international forex fraud operation underwent health checks.
Suspects detained in an operation against an international forex fraud network with alleged links to Israel, conducted under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, were brought to the hospital for health checks following procedures at the police station.
Background of the Operation
An investigation was carried out against an Israel-linked forex fraud network by the National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and the Istanbul Provincial Police Department under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Charges and Reports
While MASAK and financial analysis reports were examined within the scope of the investigation, the suspects faced charges such as fraud via informatics systems and establishing a criminal organization.
Simultaneous Raids
In operations carried out on Friday, September 18, centered in Istanbul and Muğla, targeting numerous addresses, a total of 191 suspects were detained and their assets were seized.
Health Check Process
The suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to Bayrampaşa State Hospital in the morning hours to undergo health checks.
Attack on a Member of the Press
During the health check at the hospital, a member of the press filming the scene was attacked by a relative of one of the suspects.
