During the bronchoscopy procedure performed by the doctors, it was realized that the object suspected to be a mass was actually a foreign body.

Chest Diseases Specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aydın Balcı and his team determined that the foreign substance descending from the patient's windpipe into his lung was garlic.

Experts stated that the patient had been struggling with chest pain and persistent coughing fits for about six months due to this reason.

Regained His Health with a Successful Operation

With a successful medical intervention performed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aydın Balcı and the healthcare team, the garlic in the patient's windpipe was safely removed.

Stating that he had swallowed the garlic raw for healing purposes, Recep Arslan expressed that he was able to breathe easily again after the foreign body was removed.
