Thousands of People Undergo Health Screenings in Trung Tam Ward
Thousands of citizens, ranging from youth to the elderly, were examined during comprehensive health screenings held in the Lao Cai region.
Thanks to comprehensive health screenings and checks organized in Trung Tam Ward, Lao Cai province, approximately 6,300 people, including youth, students, and the elderly, underwent health checks and were diagnosed with various conditions.
Health Check for Young Residents
A special health screening was organized for residents aged 18 to 40 in residential area number 4, in cooperation between the Central Health Station and the ward's Youth Union.
As a result of these examinations, 5 cases of diabetes and 7 cases of hypertension were detected and recorded by the authorities.
Health Screening Activities for Students
Detailed health checks were organized for a total of 5,939 students ranging from preschool to high school level within the month of September.
As of September 17, health information for 5,737 of these students, corresponding to 96.6 percent, was updated on the Ministry of Health's Health Data Portal.
Health Status of Elderly Individuals Examined
Within the framework of activities under Project 7, Content 2, approximately 300 people aged 60 and over living in ethnic minority areas were included in the screening activities.
As a result of the detailed screenings, 80 new hypertension cases were detected among elderly individuals and their health conditions were closely examined.
Healthy Living and Nutrition Advice
During the examination and screening processes, citizens' basic health indicators were meticulously examined, and they were informed about proper nutrition, regular exercise, and a healthy lifestyle.
All obtained screening results formed the basis for future health management and monitoring efforts to be carried out by local health institutions.
