Turkuaz Seramik becomes fourth largest exporter in ceramic sanitary ware

Turkuaz Seramik Chairman of the Board Abidin Özkaya announced that they are Turkey's fourth-largest exporting company in the ceramic sanitary ware category under the CeraStyle brand.

Fourth Largest Position in Exports

Turkuaz Seramik Chairman of the Board Abidin Özkaya stated that the achieved result is the outcome of many years of investments in production, technology, quality, and exports.

Emphasizing that maintaining this position is important in a year when sector exports contracted by 5.6 percent in value terms, Özkaya expressed that they view exports as a long-term brand investment.

Renewable Energy and Production Power

Work on technological infrastructure, automation, and energy efficiency continues at the two production facilities in Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) and İncesu OSB.

Thanks to solar power plants, the company has reached the capacity to meet all of the electricity it consumes from renewable energy sources.

Zero Waste and Recycling Target

A filter press system is used to re-introduce raw material waste and water into production.

While raw material waste rates are incorporated into recipes through R&D studies, the use of imported raw materials was reduced by 25 percent.

R&D and Digital Transformation

A total of 51 projects have been carried out to date at the Ministry-approved R&D Center established in 2018, and 27 of them have been commercialized.

In the new period, focus will be placed on products that support water, energy, and resource efficiency, as well as antibacterial surface technologies.

Sectoral Challenges and Expectations

Energy, labor costs, access to financing, and global demand contraction are among the factors affecting the sector's competitiveness.

Stating that cheap and low-quality imports create pressure on domestic producers, compliance with standards and strengthening of inspections were requested.
