Medical personnel working in the Kars region underwent a comprehensive training program to increase their response capacity and driving skills in disasters and extraordinary situations.

Scope and Participation of Trainings

Healthcare workers improved both their response and driving skills in the training held in Kars to save lives in disasters and emergencies.

17 volunteer healthcare workers consisting of nurses, midwives, emergency medicine technicians, and paramedics took part in this process.

UMKE Camp and Practices

The three-day UMKE training was carried out in the camp area established in the Susuz district with participation from various provinces.

Within this scope, practices such as rescuing the injured from debris, intervention in narrow spaces, and the establishment of emergency response units were carried out.

Operations in Harsh Terrain Conditions

In operations conducted in harsh terrain conditions, healthcare workers experienced the processes of reaching injured and missing persons.

Participation was also provided in first response at the scene, evacuation, and safe transport applications.

Ambulance Driving Safety Training

Ambulance driving safety training was held in the Kars city center with the participation of personnel from different provinces.

Emergency ambulance maintenance technicians, emergency medicine technicians, and driving personnel were instructed on the safe use of ambulances.
