Within the scope of universal health checks carried out in Ho Chi Minh City, approximately 4 million people underwent health screenings. While this figure corresponds to 43.1% of the population, rates vary among wards.
General Status of Health Checks
Tang Chi Thuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, announced that approximately 4 million people across the city underwent health checks, which corresponds to 43.1% of the total population.
Regions with the Highest Rates
Out of 168 wards and communes in the city, participation rates exceeded 50% in 80 of them, while success rates of over 50% were achieved in 24 areas and over 60% in 10 areas.
Standout Wards and Communes
Among the top 10 regions with the highest participation rates were Thanh An, Phuoc Thang, An Nhon Tay, Ba Diem, An Thoi Dong, Con Dao Special District, Long Hai, Binh Giang, Suoi Son, and Phong Son. Thanh An commune ranked first with a rate of 96.5%.
Low-Rate Regions and Objectives
While differences between regions persist, the health check rate remained below 20% in 18 wards and communes. In the upcoming period, focus will be placed on three groups: residents, students, civil servants, and employees.
Assessments Made by the Administration
Huynh Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, stated that checking 4 million people is still low compared to the total population of 14 million, and requested that the statistics be reviewed.
