Walk and Events Kick Off in Bursa as Part of Public Health Week
Public Health Week events, organized in partnership with the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of Health, began with a march on Cumhuriyet Street.
Events prepared under the theme "Public Health Every Day" for the September 3–9 Public Health Week, in collaboration with the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of Health, officially started with a march held on Cumhuriyet Street.
March on Cumhuriyet Street
Planned to strengthen preventive health services and spread awareness of healthy living in Bursa, the events kicked off with a march accompanied by the Metropolitan Municipality Band.
As part of the program, public health awareness booths were set up in Gazi Orhan Park, where various informational activities and health practices were offered to citizens.
Healthy Child and Future Meeting
Within the scope of Public Health Week events, the "Healthy Child, Healthy Future" gathering will take place on Friday, September 4, at the Bursa Millet Garden.
The program, scheduled between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, will feature awareness of nutrition and an active lifestyle, alongside a children's play area and informational booths.
Hüdavendigar City Park Events
One of the week's comprehensive programs will be implemented on Monday, September 7, at Hüdavendigar City Park under the theme "Age Healthily, Stay Healthy."
At the event, physical activity led by a physiotherapist, breathing exercises, a Women's Rhythm Group performance, and a Karagöz-Hacivat shadow play will be presented to the people of Bursa.
Combating Obesity and Cancer
On Tuesday, September 8, the "Listen to Your Body, Take Action" program will be held at the City Council Koza Hall Public School.
In this session, critical topics such as healthy nutrition, combating obesity, early diagnosis of cancer, vaccination, and addiction will be discussed to inform participants.
