Health Cannot Be Purchased Online

Cuma Reyhan, Founding President of the 17th Region Gaziantep Opticians and Optometrists Chamber, stated that the eye is one of the most important organs of the body and that health services cannot be obtained from the internet environment. He noted that citizens should meet their needs from opticians and eyewear shops audited by the Ministry of Health.

Risk of Grievance and Cataracts

Cuma Reyhan conveyed that prescription-free products bought over the internet can lead to major grievances. He drew attention to the fact that the use of low-quality sunglasses can trigger cataract problems in later years, especially after the age of 40.

Must Be Audited Like Medication

Stating that there is a risk of expired products in lens shopping, Reyhan reiterated that such products should not be procured from the internet. He emphasized that, just as medicines are not bought online, eyeglasses and lenses should be purchased from controlled places with the same sensitivity.
