Yen So Ward Continues Free Periodic Health Check-ups
Yen So Ward in Hanoi is steadfastly continuing its free periodic health check-ups organized at least once a year for its residents.
Thousands of residents in Yen So Ward, Hanoi, have been examined under the free periodic health screening initiative, with a major portion of the plan successfully completed.
Health Screening and Plan
Implementing the plan for free periodic health check-ups or screenings for residents at least once a year, Yen So Ward in Hanoi is actively coordinating with relevant units to organize check-ups for residents according to different target groups. Since September 15, the Yen So Ward Health Center has received more than 130 residents from groups 1 and 5 of the Tu Hiep 1 residential area for free routine health check-ups.
Scope of Target Groups
The organization of health examinations in Yen So ward is scientific and convenient for the public. Group 1 includes the elderly, people with disabilities, those from poor and near-poor households, meritorious individuals, people with chronic illnesses, and children under 6 years of age not attending preschool. Group 5 encompasses all individuals not included in the other groups, while doctors provide assistance to those with mobility difficulties.
Current Data and Progress
According to data updated as of September 29, 2026, there are 16,500 eligible people for health examinations in the Yen So area. Out of these, 13,898 people have been examined, achieving 84.2% of the plan. Notably, in group 2, 12,602 students have been examined, reaching 100% of the plan.
Electronic Data Management
Data entry and the sharing of examination results were carried out simultaneously. Out of the 13,898 people examined, 13,898 records and examination forms were completed, and 7,255 records were successfully updated into the electronic health record system. The data update and sharing process was completed within 24 hours after the examination.
Disease Foci and Inspection
Tran Thanh Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the Yen So Ward People's Committee, inspected the health examinations for the public. The screening program is conducted in accordance with the professional guidelines of the Ministry of Health, focusing on 12 common non-communicable diseases including hypertension, type 2 diabetes, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, certain cancers, and mental health disorders.
Two-Phase Implementation Schedule
The free periodic health check-up program aims to gradually manage the health of the local population, improve the early detection of diseases, and create a foundation for regular health monitoring and care. According to the plan, the program in 2026 is implemented in two phases.
