Young man struggling after sleeve gastrectomy seeks help

29-year-old pharmacy technician İlkcan İlhan, who experienced health problems after undergoing a sleeve gastrectomy in Adana, stated that he has not been able to regain his health despite three operations and issued a call for help.

Surgery Process and Complaints

29-year-old İlkcan İlhan, working as a pharmacy technician in Adana, chose to undergo a sleeve gastrectomy at a private hospital after failing to get results from diets. Immediately after the operation, serious complaints such as gait abnormalities and fainting began to manifest in his body.

Successive Operations

Standing 177 centimeters tall and weighing 157 kilograms, İlkcan İlhan went under the knife at the private hospital he contracted with on September 12, 2025. Due to the ailments he experienced, he underwent a second operation on December 15 of the same year, and a third operation at a public hospital on January 22.

Hospitals Refusing Admission

Having dropped to 72 kilograms without regaining his health after the operations he underwent, İlhan stated that no hospital would accept him for treatment. He expressed that he is going through difficult days due to the process he experienced and has no strength left to endure.

Legal Process and Health Directorate

Following the health problems he experienced, the young man filed a complaint against the private hospital that performed his surgery. The Adana Provincial Health Directorate initiated an official investigation regarding the incident, and the process is being monitored.
