Access block imposed on 93 social media accounts threatening national security
Following efforts coordinated by the Directorate of Communications, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a decision targeting accounts that threaten national security and spread disinformation.
As a result of efforts carried out under the coordination of the Directorate of Communications, access was blocked to 93 social media accounts determined to be engaging in Israeli propaganda and threatening national security with disinformation content.
Coordination of the Investigation
Within the scope of the legal process conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, certain content and accounts on social media platforms were examined.
As a result of the work carried out in coordination with the Directorate of Communications, digital channels identified as posing a threat were determined one by one.
Grounds for Access Block
During the examinations, it was officially determined that the relevant accounts engaged in Israeli propaganda and spread unfounded information aimed at misleading the public.
It was decided to implement an access-blocking measure against the accounts in question on the grounds that the posts directly threatened national security.
