Access Blocked for 111 Accounts Detected Manipulating the Stock Market on Social Media
Within the framework of a judicial investigation conducted into transactions in capital markets, accounts producing speculative content on social media environments were shut down.
In line with an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding capital market transactions, 111 accounts determined to have made manipulative stock market posts on social media were blocked from access.
Investigations Within the Scope of the Inquiry
The investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding capital market transactions has expanded to social media platforms following investment and financial companies. As a result of meticulous examinations conducted, suspicious activities in the digital environment were placed under scrutiny.
Accounts Blocked from Access
As a result of the efforts carried out under the coordination of the Directorate of Communications, a total of 111 different accounts identified as making manipulative stock market posts on the social media platform X were blocked from access.
Removed Speculative Posts
Within the scope of the judicial and administrative measures implemented, the authorities did not limit themselves only to account closure procedures. At the same time, content removal measures were applied to 75 separate posts carrying speculative characteristics.
