In the capital markets investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, one person was arrested, three people were detained, and a foreign travel ban was imposed on 48 people. Additionally, access was blocked to 246 social media accounts that caused panic among investors.

Scope of the Investigation and Detention Orders

A comprehensive investigation regarding transactions in the capital market was initiated by the Terrorism Financing and Money Laundering Investigation Bureau of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Within the framework of this ongoing investigation, Muhammed Yarız was arrested, while Namık Kemal Gökalp, İbrahim Bekci, and Altunç Kumova were detained.

Individuals Subject to Foreign Travel Bans

It was decided to implement a travel ban measure against a total of 48 people, including Emre Tezmen and Serdar Turhan, who were among the individuals whose transactions were examined within the scope of the investigation.

CMB Examinations and Market Measures

In line with the examinations carried out by the Capital Markets Board and relevant criminal complaints, precautionary measures were taken regarding the share markets of certain companies.

In this context, official measures were put into effect regarding various period transactions in the share markets of Katılımevim, Gündoğdu, and Destek Faktoring.

Access Restrictions on Social Media Accounts

A separate investigation process was initiated ex officio by the Cybercrimes Investigation Bureau of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

It was determined that 246 social media accounts made speculative posts about capital market instruments that could induce fear and panic among investors.

Court Ruling and Relevant Institutions

The Istanbul 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace ruled to block access to the identified social media accounts and related internet links.

This access restriction decision was officially transmitted to the Presidency of Cybersecurity for implementation.
