Defendant's Defense
Defendant Melek K. denied the accusations, stating that she did not have her reading glasses while making the post and made this mistake due to carelessness. She stated that she deleted the post immediately.
Verdict and Appeal
The court panel sentenced the defendant to 1 year and 3 months in prison for the crime of publicly disseminating misleading information. Defendant's lawyer Elif Narin Dursun announced that they would appeal the verdict.
