Four People Arrested and Assets Frozen in Stock Market Investigation
Four people have been arrested in an operation targeting alleged manipulation in the fund and equity markets, while travel bans have been imposed on 51 suspects.
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that four people have been arrested as part of the investigation into manipulative transactions carried out in the capital markets, and that travel bans and asset freeze measures have been applied to 51 people.

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that four people, including fund board chairmen and members, were arrested within the scope of the investigation conducted into manipulative transactions in the fund and equity markets.
Judicial Control and Asset Measures
Making a statement on his social media account, Gürlek noted that judicial control measures in the form of a travel ban were applied to 51 people within the scope of the investigation.
It was also stated that measures were placed on the relevant bank accounts and all asset values of the suspects in order to prevent potential attempts to smuggle assets.
Monitoring by the Capital Markets Board
While it was stated that the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is closely monitoring suspicious transactions carried out in the capital markets, it was expressed that initiatives have been launched to grant investigation permission to the Capital Markets Board.
Intervention in Social Media Posts
246 social media accounts that made speculative posts capable of causing fear and panic among investors were blocked from access, and 16 people attempting to manipulate the markets via social media were arrested.
