Operation Against Racist and Violent Social Media Posts in Ankara
An Ankara-based operation was carried out against suspects identified as making racist and violent posts on social media platforms.
In Ankara, 9 individuals determined to have made racist and violent posts via social media platforms were detained in a simultaneous operation by security forces.
Background of the Operation
Ankara Police Department's Juvenile Bureau and Intelligence Branch teams initiated an examination of activities conducted via digital platforms.
The teams launched a comprehensive study targeting individuals making racist and violent posts containing National Socialism content.
Simultaneous Raids and Detentions
As a result of the ongoing work, the residential addresses of the suspects, including minors, were identified one by one.
Following the simultaneous operation carried out at 9 different designated addresses, a total of 9 suspects were apprehended and detained.
Seized Materials
Numerous illegal materials and criminal evidence were found during searches conducted at the residences of the suspects.
At the addresses, 1 blank-firing pistol, 1 air rifle, 3 knives, Nazi symbols, extremism and racial violence symbols, and a skull mask were seized. Additionally, digital materials related to the incident were confiscated.
