Operation against social media networks of criminal organizations in Antalya
As a result of operations conducted by security forces, suspects determined to be connected with organized crime structures were apprehended and brought to justice.
As part of public order and security operations carried out in Antalya, an operation was organized against suspects identified as making propaganda on social media for the armed criminal organizations named "Çirkinler" and "Daltonlar".
Details of the Operation
Within the scope of the efforts coordinated by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau, simultaneous raids were carried out by the teams of the Provincial Directorate of Security Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch.
Social Media Investigations
During the investigations conducted by the teams, it was determined that the suspects moved their activities to digital platforms, praised crime and criminals, carried out organization propaganda, and made posts containing threats and weapons.
Searches Conducted at Addresses
In raids organized on September 24 at addresses identified in the Kepez and Muratpaşa districts, a total of 5 suspects were detained, and numerous munitions were seized during the searches conducted at the addresses.
Investigation Continues
While security forces continue their efforts to apprehend 2 fugitive suspects, it was reported that the investigation is being continued in a multifaceted manner by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
