In simultaneous operations conducted across 10 provinces centered in Istanbul, 10 suspects were detained who shared fighting, insulting, and obscene content via social media platforms.

Virtual Patrol and Detection Activities

Teams from the Istanbul Public Order Branch Directorate identified the suspects within the scope of virtual patrol activities carried out under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and with the support of the Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate.

Investigations revealed that the suspects, who broadcast live on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and X, produced content that created tension and victimization.

Elements of Crime and Shared Modus Operandi

Research conducted by the teams revealed that the suspects acted together to generate digital income by making posts contrary to the Turkish family structure.

It was reported that legal proceedings were initiated against the suspects on charges of inciting or degrading the public to hatred and hostility, as well as obscenity.

Simultaneous Raids in 10 Provinces

Operations were organized targeting identified addresses, centered in Istanbul and extending to Ankara, Antalya, Bursa, Kocaeli, Muğla, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Malatya, and Elazığ.

As a result of the simultaneous raids, a total of 10 suspects were captured and detained.

Police Procedures and Health Tests

Necessary tests to detect the use of drugs or stimulant substances were administered to the suspects detained within the scope of the operation.

The investigation process regarding the suspects, who were taken to the police station to complete their legal procedures, is ongoing.
