The Istanbul 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace has decided to shut down the T24 online news portal's website and all social media accounts within the scope of the "Family is Safe" investigation.
Decision within the Scope of the Investigation
The judicial process has gained momentum within the scope of the "Family is Safe" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The judgeship ruled on the file to block access to and shut down the relevant media organization.
Justification and Content Allegations
The justification for the decision included the allegation that the online news portal had produced numerous contents within the past year carrying the character of LGBTI propaganda. In line with these allegations, the judicial authorities implemented the shutdown measure.
Implementation Process of the Decision
The shutdown decision made by the Istanbul 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace was officially sent to the authorized institution, the Presidency of Cybersecurity, for implementation and fulfillment.
