Two people injured in social media fight in Bağcılar
Two youths were injured in Istanbul's Bağcılar district after a social media-fueled dispute escalated; the 15-year-old suspect who carried out the attack was arrested.
Two people were injured as a dispute that started over social media turned into a knife fight on the street in Istanbul's Bağcılar district. Following the incident, one of the detained suspects was arrested while judicial control measures were applied to the others.
The Emergence of the Incident and Condition of the Injured
Upon a report of a stabbing incident in Bağcılar, police and medical teams quickly dispatched to the scene. Investigations determined that 18-year-old M.E.D. and 17-year-old B.D. were injured by stab wounds.
Transfer to Hospital and Treatment Process
Following the initial intervention by medical teams at the scene, the injured were transferred to the hospital. It was stated that M.E.D., who was put under treatment, remains in critical condition, while B.D.'s health condition is good.
Police Investigation and Background
In the in-depth investigation conducted by the Public Order Bureau teams, it became clear that the incident had no connection to gang structures or drug trafficking.
Detention Procedures and Suspects
Within the framework of the ongoing investigation, 15-year-old E.B.S., who carried out the knife attack, along with Y.E.B., A.K., and M.A.A., were detained and taken to the police station.
Judicial Process and Arrest
Among the suspects referred to the courthouse, Y.E.B., M.A.A., and A.K. were released under judicial control conditions. E.B.S., who was determined to be the perpetrator of the knife attack, was arrested and sent to prison.
