The DGCA stepped in against the rise of fake aviation trainings on social media, emphasizing the obligation to check the KDM Platform.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has warned citizens to be cautious against unauthorized aviation training and certification advertisements rapidly spreading on social media platforms recently.
Pay Attention to Advertisements on Social Media
It has been determined that there has been a significant increase in unauthorized training and certification advertisements for critical aviation licenses such as pilots, aircraft maintenance technicians, and dispatchers, especially on social media channels. The institution issued official warnings to prevent citizens from suffering grievances due to such misleading posts.
Mandatory Control of the KDM Platform
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation stated that the relevant institution must be inspected before creating any training record or making a payment. It is mandatory to check whether the training organization, the course, the instructor, and the student are registered on the Corporate Transformation Model Platform.
Transactions That Will Be Considered Invalid
Any training, examination, and evaluation activity carried out outside the specified platform has no official validity. Such misplaced processes will definitely not be taken into account in license, authorization, and adjustment procedures and will be considered invalid.
Call to Universities
An official call was also made to state and foundation universities providing aviation education by authorized authorities. It was requested that all courses, instructors, classrooms, and students constituting the basis for licensing and authorization processes be fully defined on the KDM Platform.
