36 Thousand Children Who Completed Summer Sports Schools in Yıldırım Received Their Certificates

Thousands of children who received training at the Summer Sports Schools organized by Yıldırım Municipality in Bursa received their certificates at a ceremony. National athletes who attended the ceremony also shared the children's excitement.

The Summer Sports Schools, organized by Yıldırım Municipality to help children spend their summer vacation productively, concluded with a certificate ceremony held at the Naim Süleymanoğlu Sports Complex. A total of 36,818 children experienced the joy of graduation across 16 different branches where free training was provided.

Certificate Ceremony with Wide Participation

The ceremony held at the Naim Süleymanoğlu Sports Complex was attended by Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz, Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Kevser Öztürk, Yıldırım District Governor Metin Esen, AK Party Yıldırım District Chairman İrfan Akkaya, national athletes, students, and parents. The children, who successfully completed their training, received their certificates with great enthusiasm at the ceremony.

Future Champions Will Emerge from Yıldırım

Speaking at the ceremony, Yıldırım Mayor Oktay Yılmaz stated that they are working to spread sports to the grassroots. Emphasizing that they value children growing up with sports for their physical and mental development, Yılmaz expressed that thanks to the Summer Sports Schools, thousands of children had the opportunity to discover their talents, and the champions of the future would be trained in these facilities.

Noting that they continue to invest in modern facilities to make Yıldırım a city of sports, Yılmaz expressed that the achievements of the athletes within the Yıldırım Belediyespor Club in national and international arenas bring them great pride.

Support from National Athletes to the Little Ones

National taekwondo athlete Hatice Kübra İlgün and national wrestler Batın Naniş, who did not leave the children alone at the certificate ceremony, came together with the young athletes and shared their experiences. İlgün, who won a gold medal at the Mediterranean Games held in Italy, and Naniş, who achieved victory at the U17 World Championship in Baku, gave advice to the children. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of various gifts to the students.
