Aleksey Batrakov Shares Remarks on Galatasaray Career and Champions League

Young footballer Aleksey Batrakov, whom Galatasaray signed from Lokomotiv Moscow at the beginning of the season, evaluated his adaptation process at the yellow-red club, daily life in Istanbul, and his Champions League experience during the Russian National Team camp.
Adaptation Process to Istanbul
Wearing the Galatasaray jersey, 21-year-old Aleksey Batrakov stated that changing countries, cities, and teams after staying in the same club structure for 15 years was not easy for him.
Regarding his life in Istanbul, the young footballer stated that he has so far learned the most basic Turkish words such as 'hello' (merhaba), 'okay' (tamam), and 'good morning' (günaydın).
Interest in Football and Recognition
Drawing attention to the great interest people in Istanbul have in football, the Russian footballer said that while he could walk around comfortably while wearing the Lokomotiv jersey in Moscow, here he is frequently recognized even when wearing glasses and a hat.
Food Culture and Adjustment
Touching upon the food culture in Turkey as well, Batrakov stated that in the first week he came to Istanbul, he ate kebab three times, after which they set up their home and his wife started cooking.
Champions League Experience
Stating that playing in the Champions League wearing the Galatasaray jersey was a childhood dream, Batrakov noted that this atmosphere is indescribable and his next goal is to score a goal in the tournament.
Support from Teammate Torreira
Stating that he received great support from his teammates during the adaptation process, the young player noted that Lucas Torreira in particular came up to him, encouraged him, and offered help in every matter.
National Team and Longing for Moscow
Stating that wearing the Russian National Team jersey is a great honor for him, Batrakov added that since he has not been in Russia for about a month, he misses Moscow, his friends, and the old atmosphere.
