Beşiktaş President Serdal Adalı Calls on TFF to Postpone the Leagues
Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı has requested a two-week postponement of the leagues to completely cleanse Turkish football following ongoing illegal betting operations.
In a live broadcast statement regarding investigations into illegal betting and sports crimes, Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı called on the TFF and the Clubs' Union to postpone the leagues for two weeks in the name of cleaning up football.
Support for the Illegal Betting Investigation
Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı made important evaluations regarding the illegal betting and sports crimes investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Stating that he has fought against disruptions within the Central Referee Board throughout his presidency, Adalı expressed his support for the judicial authorities to pursue the operation to the very end.
Call for a Two-Week Postponement of the Leagues
Stating that he discussed the matter with Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan, the Beşiktaş President emphasized that the Clubs' Union should come together to put this issue on the table.
Requesting that the leagues be postponed for two weeks after the international break if necessary until everything settles into place, Adalı demanded that the cleanup be completed without omission.
Central Referee Board and Process Evaluation
Touching upon the structure of the MHK, Serdal Adalı expressed that a foreign MHK administration could take office and thereby make more impartial decisions.
Addressing the situation of some executives whose names were mentioned during the investigation process, the Beşiktaş President stated that all these legal processes must be carried out fairly and in great detail.
