Black Sea and Caspian Countries Karate Championship Starts in Samsun
The international karate organization, attended by over a thousand athletes from seven different countries, has started in Samsun.
Held at the Tekkeköy Yaşar Doğu Indoor Sports Hall between September 4 and 6, the Black Sea and Caspian Countries Karate Championship opened its doors with the participation of a total of 1,247 athletes, including 633 women, from seven countries.
Countries Participating in the Championship
In addition to the host country Turkey, athletes from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Georgia, Iran, and Russia participated in the organization.
Categories and Bouts
Throughout the organization, athletes will compete for medals in four different categories: kids, pre-cadets, cadets, and juniors.
Protocol and First Day Awards
While awards were presented to the top-ranking athletes on the first day of the championship, local protocol members and officials also attended the competitions.
