Çayırova Municipality Sports Complex Opens with a Ceremony in Kocaeli
Expected to contribute to the district's sports infrastructure, the new complex will welcome sports enthusiasts with features that meet international standards.
The sports complex, built in Kocaeli through a partnership between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Çayırova Municipality with an investment of 300 million liras, has opened its doors.
Features of the Modern Facility
Having a total indoor area of 9,000 square meters, the new sports complex was designed to provide citizens of all ages with the opportunity to engage in sports.
Thanks to the amenities located within the facility, it is aimed to diversify and expand sporting activities in the region.
FIBA-Approved Arena
Forming the most striking part of the complex, the basketball court holds the distinction of being FIBA-approved.
This special arena with a capacity of 3,500 people possesses the technical infrastructure to host professional competitions.
Training Areas
In addition to the main court, the facility houses a total of nine training halls to allow different branches to practice.
These halls were prepared with the aim of contributing to the development of young athletes and amateur teams.
Wide Participation Opening
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Halis Yunus Ersöz and Çayırova Mayor Bünyamin Çiftçi attended the ceremony held.
Protocol members, local administrators, athletes, and numerous citizens also took part in the ceremony.
