Within the scope of the investigation conducted in Turkish football, Central Arbitration Committee Chairman Ferhat Gündoğdu and 6 accompanying individuals were detained.
Central Arbitration Committee Chairman Ferhat Gündoğdu along with a total of 6 suspects were detained within the framework of an investigation launched on charges of mobbing and forgery of official documents. Simultaneous operations were carried out in 4 provinces based in Istanbul as part of the investigation.
The Beginning of the Investigation and Detentions
The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was initiated upon the testimony given by a victim on September 15, 2025. Examinations were carried out in accordance with the complainant and witness statements, expert reports, HTS and MASAK records obtained on the basis of the investigation file.
Details of the Operation and Allegations
Simultaneous operations were organized in 4 provinces based in Istanbul in order to seize criminal evidence. The studies included allegations that some referees were excluded from classifications without justification, appointment processes were interfered with, and exam questions were changed.
Digital Examinations and Correspondence
Camera records at the TFF's VAR center in Riva and the referee corridors were taken under examination by the Istanbul Security Directorate Financial Police. Correspondence regarding referee lists was detected on the mobile phones and in the messages of the suspects.

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated that they will resolutely continue the struggle for clean football. The Turkish Football Federation announced that its belief in the supremacy of law and the independence of judicial authorities is complete.
