Within the framework of the ongoing investigation, a total of seven suspects, including Central Arbitration Committee President Ferhat Gündoğdu, were detained. It was reported that the operation was carried out upon allegations of interference in referee processes and exams.

Names Detained Within the Scope of the Investigation

Detention decisions were implemented regarding a total of seven suspects, including Central Arbitration Committee President Ferhat Gündoğdu, and these individuals were officially detained.

Among the other individuals detained in the operation are names who have served in various committees and association executives.

Other Officials Detained

Among the officially detained names is Ferdi Karadoruk, President of the Istanbul Branch of the Turkish Active Football Referees and Observers Association.

Additionally, former MHK Deputy President Ahmet Şahin, former member Yunus Yıldırım, and current MHK Member Sebahattin Şahin are among the detained suspects.

Association and Committee Executives

Within the scope of the operation, Alican Sağlar, the Organization Officer of the Istanbul Branch of the Turkish Active Football Referees and Observers Association, was detained.

Emre Kosif, the Provincial Arbitration Committee President of the same branch, was also among the individuals detained within the framework of the investigation.

Basis and Allegations of the Investigation

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek stated in his remarks regarding the investigation that the processes of establishing referee classifications are being examined.

It was stated that allegations regarding interference in assignment, scoring, and appointment processes, as well as rule exams, are at the center of the investigation.

Coordination of the Operation and Evidence

It was publicly announced that the operation was carried out under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Security.

It was reported that complainant and witness statements, expert reports, and HTS (call detail records) and MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) records were taken into account during the investigation process.
