Central Arbitration Committee President Ferhat Gündoğdu Arrested and Resigned
Ferhat Gündoğdu, who was arrested in the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's investigation into the Central Arbitration Committee (MHK), announced that he has stepped down from his position.
MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu, who was arrested within the scope of the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office targeting the Central Arbitration Committee, announced that he has resigned from his post.
Investigation and Detention Process
A total of seven people were detained in the Referees file investigation conducted under the coordination of the Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes Bureau of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Court Decisions
Ferhat Gündoğdu, Emre Kosif, Ferdi Karadoruk, Yunus Yıldırım, and Alican Sağlar, who were referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace, were arrested, while judicial control decisions were issued regarding two suspects.
Resignation Statement
The arrested Ferhat Gündoğdu announced through his lawyers that he resigned from his post as of October 3, 2026, in order to prevent the Turkish Football Federation from being tarnished.
Expanded Investigation
It was reported that Süper Lig referees Yasin Kol and Göktuğ Hazar Erel were also detained within the scope of the operations carried out by the Financial Crimes Investigation Branch teams.
