Excitement Begins in Şırnak for the 5th International Cudi Cup Tennis Tournament
The organization, held with the participation of athletes from different countries, opened its doors at Şırnak University courts.
Realized under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in coordination with the Turkish Tennis Federation, the 5th International Cudi Cup Tennis Tournament officially began at the Şırnak University campus with the participation of sixty-one athletes from five different countries.
The Start of the Tournament
The excitement of the 5th International Cudi Cup Tennis Tournament has begun, carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in coordination with the Turkish Tennis Federation, with contributions from the Governorship, the Şırnak Municipality, and Şırnak University.
The organization met with sports fans at the two indoor and four outdoor courts located on the Şırnak University campus, with the participation of a total of sixty-one athletes from five different countries.
Opening Ceremony and Participants
Governor Birol Ekici, Mayor Mehmet Yarka, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Zafer Tombul, and Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Fedai Din attended the opening ceremony of the organized event.
Various institutional managers, athletes, and numerous sports fans also took part in the program, sharing in the enthusiasm of the opening.
International Participation
The event kicked off with a colorful procession ceremony held with the participation of athletes coming from Russia, the United States of America, Yemen, and Belarus, alongside Turkey.
With the participation of foreign athletes, the tournament has reached a broad representation area on the international stage as well.
Protocol Speeches
In his speech at the program, Governor Birol Ekici stated that the city is a city of peace and security, and conveyed his best wishes for success to all athletes participating in the tournament.
Mayor Mehmet Yarka stated that the tournament will last for six days between September 21 and 26, and that they are hosting guests coming from different countries.
