Reason for the Ban and Developments
Fenerbahçe published an official statement regarding the 3-window transfer ban imposed by FIFA. In the statement, it was stated that this situation is temporary in nature and is based on the transfer of Youssef En-Nesyri.
It was stated that due to the non-payment of the transfer installment dated April 30, 2026, regarding the player's transfer fee, the relevant club initiated proceedings before FIFA.
Management's Steps and Payment Process
After taking office, the club management paid the delayed installment, but the relevant club requested the payment of the next installment as well in the lawsuit filed before FIFA.
Fenerbahçe management stated that it was awaiting the FIFA decision for the payment and that the payment ruled accordingly will be made on Monday.
Lifting of the Ban and General Assembly
It was announced that following the payment to be made on Monday and the completion of bureaucratic procedures, the transfer ban will be completely lifted.
On the other hand, information was given that all past financial statements and obligations will be shared with the members at the Ordinary General Assembly to be held on September 27, 2026.
