Fenerbahçe has completed preparations for the 50 million Euro project that will increase the capacity of the Chobani Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex to 64,000 people, and work will begin following the permit process.

Preparations have been completed for the massive project, promised by President Aziz Yıldırım during the election period, which will increase the stadium's capacity to 64,000 people. The board of directors, who met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Dolmabahçe in recent days, shared the details of the project and took the necessary steps.

Construction and Roof Raising Phase

In the project, which will be implemented with an on-site renovation vision that preserves urban memory, foundation construction work will begin in the first stage. The existing roof will be raised approximately 6 meters using special jacks and steel legs will be placed.

Stand and Luxury Box Innovations

Following the roof works, new stands will be constructed behind the goals, and an additional 52 luxury boxes will be built in this area. With the additions to be made to the Marathon and Fenerium stands, the total spectator capacity will be significantly increased.

Financial Dimension and Revenue Increase

The project, to be implemented with a cost of approximately 50 million Euros, is planned to provide an additional annual revenue of approximately 25 million Euros on top of the club's current revenues. The project will be carried out with sponsor support without placing a burden on the club's budget.

Venues Where Matches Will Be Played and Process

Board Member Nihat Özbağı stated that the project was presented to the President and found appropriate. Stating that matches can be played in the stadium during the construction period, but a few matches may need to be played in another stadium while the roof is being raised, Özbağı emphasized that the total construction period is 12 months.
