Süper Lig referee Yasin Kol and assistant referee Göktuğ Hazar Erel were detained within the scope of the referee file investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes Bureau. The operation was carried out as a result of the examination of digital materials and the analysis of MASAK records.

It was learned that the two detained referees are being investigated under the allegations of violating Law No. 7258, complicity in forgery of documents, and abuse of office. It was stated that the suspects will be sent to Istanbul after their procedures at the police station are completed.

It was reported that Yasin Kol officiated the friendly match played between Trabzonspor and Drogheda United and was detained at his home after the match. While a search was conducted at Kol's residence, it was shared that he spent the night at the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of Security.
