Free Summer Sports Schools in Van Concluded Successfully
The free summer courses opened by the Van Metropolitan Municipality for youth to make good use of their holiday have been completed.
The free Summer Sports Schools implemented by the Van Metropolitan Municipality to enable children and youth to spend their summer holidays productively have been completed.
Training Process and Participation Rates
A total of 1,250 children and youth participated in the training sessions, which lasted approximately 2.5 months across 18 different branches.
A total of 35 coaches took part in the training conducted under the coordination of the Van Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club.
Activities Organized in Various Branches
During the training sessions held every weekday, participants received instruction in various branches such as football, basketball, volleyball, handball, athletics, and tennis.
Within the scope of the program, activities were also carried out in mountaineering, judo, taekwondo, roller skating, folk dances, swimming, chess, kurash, wrestling, muay thai, kickboxing, and boxing.
Venues Where the Courses Were Held
Football, athletics, and tennis training sessions were held at the Bardakçı Nation's Garden in the Tuşba district.
While basketball, volleyball, handball, folk dances, and roller skating training took place at the Fidanlık Park Indoor Sports Hall, other branches were conducted in halls located in the city center.
