Galatasaray Sports Club President Dursun Özbek made statements at the ordinary October consultative council meeting, expressing that broadcasting revenues are very low.

European and Championship Goals

Galatasaray Sports Club President Dursun Özbek said they aim to carry the national success and stability achieved in football to Europe. Speaking at the ordinary October consultative council meeting held at RAMS Park, Özbek celebrated Galatasaray's 121st founding anniversary.

Facilities and Projects

Stating that they have a target of winning their 27th championship and want to be champions for the 5th consecutive time, Özbek expressed that they aim to carry the success achieved in Turkey to Europe, particularly to the UEFA Champions League. Touching upon facility projects, Özbek noted that work on the Aslantepe Valley and the academy building and football pitches in Kemerburgaz is ongoing, and an agreement has been reached following signature delays experienced with the municipality.

Broadcasting Revenues

At the end of the consultative council meeting, Dursun Özbek also touched upon broadcasting revenues, stating that Galatasaray is the club with the highest revenue level in Turkey, but the amounts coming from broadcasting are very low. Özbek stated that this situation is a complaint of all clubs and that he is on the commission for the new broadcasting tender to be held towards the end of the season.

Riva Project Developments

Özbek also stated that a benefit of 170 million dollars was provided from the first phase of the Riva project, and the construction of 750 villas remains in the second phase.
